Mana s.r.o., ART SPEKTRUM and Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica continue the Summer Mining University project, which focuses on the popularization of mining, geology and related natural sciences. Its program consisted of various lectures, excursions, new facts, knowledge, tastes and meetings with interesting lecturers in selected mining towns. Following the successful previous years, we once again come up with a renewed repertoire of questions, videos and demonstrations, which you can study and playfully fill in in your personalized mining notebook.We have created a virtual Mining notebook with a lot of interesting things.
For a while, you can become a real miner, a geologist, an historian, an adventurer and tackle a series of popular educational tasks on the website www.banskauniverzita.sk. Along with the guides, who are Ms. Lantern, Wagon, Hammer and Bat, you will gradually dig through the tasks focused on the geology and construction of our Earth, mineralogy, traditional mining technology, as well as the history, culture and ethnography of mining in Slovakia.
